The World Federation of International Music Competitions (WFIMC) unites the most important international music competitions worldwide. The International Schubert Competition Dortmund e.V. joined the federation in 1995. Membership of the WFIMC distinguishes the Dortmund International Schubert Competition as a renowned competition. The competition thus receives support and worldwide publicity. The prerequisite for this membership is the fulfillment of the highest quality requirements and international standards.
